Andy Hawthorne, M.D., FACS

Andy Hawthorne

Andy Hawthorne joined CTSA in 2007. He is married with two children. Dr. Hawthorne graduated with High Honors from the University of Texas and attended The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He completed his surgical training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Hawthorne is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a Member of SAGES, AMA, TMA and the Travis County Medical Society. His interests include advanced laparoscopy and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. He is Trauma Director for St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center and a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Surgery Department of the Texas A&M College of Medicine.


Bratcher Runyan, M.D., FACS

Bratcher Runyan

Bratcher Runyan joined CTSA in 2010 and is at our Round Rock location. He is married with one child. Dr Runyan graduated with high honors from Texas Christian University. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Dr. Runyan completed his surgical training at the University of Kansas, Wichita in 2002. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Runyan is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Travis County Medical Society and is a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Surgery Department of the Texas A&M College of Medicine.


Mario Longoria, M.D., FACS

Mario Longoria

Mario Longoria joined CTSA in 2014. He has been practicing in the Round Rock area since 2005. He is married with two children. Dr. Longoria graduated from Trinity University and attended medical school at the University of Texas at Galveston. He completed his surgical training at the University of Missouri in Kansas City where he was awarded Chief Resident of the year. He then completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the University of California in Irvine. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Longoria is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Travis County Medical Society, ASMBS, SAGES and is a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Surgery Department of the Texas A&M College of Medicine.


Wade Dunlap, M.D., FACS

Wade Dunlap, MD joined CTSA in 2019. Dr. Dunlap relocated back to Texas and the Austin area in 2016 after practicing in rural Wyoming for six years and is located at our Baylor Scott and White McKinney location. He is married with four sons. Dr. Dunlap graduated with Honors from the University of Colorado and attended Texas A&M Health Sciences Center College of Medicine. He completed his surgical training at the Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin. Dr. Dunlap is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of AMA, TMA and the Travis County Medical Society. In addition to a full scope general surgery practice, his professional interests include advanced laparoscopy and da Vinci Robotic Surgery.


James Carroll, M.D., FACS

James P. Carroll, MD, MPH, is board certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care with 24 years of experience providing care to trauma and general surgery patients. He joined CTSA in 2022 and is located at our Baylor Scott and White McKinney location. He is married, has two daughters, and lives in Fairview Texas. He attended Tulane University School of Medicine, received his General Surgery training at The University of Colorado and Baylor University Medical Center. He completed a Surgical Critical Care fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.


Chad Treece, M.D., FACS

Dr. Chad Treece joined CTSA in 2023 and is located in our Flower Mound location. Born in Houston, Texas, Dr. Treece grew up in west Texas. His undergraduate degree is from Baylor University. He attended medical school at Texas Tech Health Science Center, then completed a general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He is a Diplomat, American Board of Surgery, Fellow American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Denton County Medical Society. He lives in the Flower Mound area with his wife and three children.


Colin Doyle, M.D., FACS

Colin Doyle, MD joined CTSA in 2023 and is at our Round Rock location. He is married with two daughters. Dr. Doyle graduated with honors from Bowdoin College and attended medical school at the University of Rochester. He received his surgical training at the University of Hawaii where he also completed a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care. Dr. Doyle is Board Certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of TMA, the American College of Surgeons and the Chest Wall Injury Society, and is a Major in the United States Army Reserves. His interests include surgical treatment of rib fractures and da Vinci Robotic Surgery.
